(THE HILL) — A U.S. military plane appeared to come startlingly close to Air Force One late Sunday, just minutes before the aircraft carrying President Trump landed outside of Washington, D.C., Voice of America reported.
Reporters traveling with the president spotted a Boeing C-17 Globemaster — a gray, four-engine military transport aircraft — through their windows at 6:23 p.m. as Air Force One was descending toward its home base at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
“Air Force One took no evasive measures and there was no indication it was in any danger,” according to Voice of America. Trump’s plane landed six minutes later, it added.
