(CNBC) -- U.S. stocks rose on Monday as President Donald Trump continued his first trip abroad since taking office.
The Dow Jones industrial average advanced about 90 points, with Boeing and 3M contributing the most gains.
The S&P 500 rose 0.5 percent, with information technology leading advancers. Tech has been the best-performing sector in the S&P this year, rising 18 percent. The Nasdaq composite outperformed, gaining 0.82 percent.
