Rand Paul: Comey firing ‘couldn’t happen soon enough’

(WASHINGTON TIMES) Sen. Rand Paul said Wednesday that FBI Director James Comey’s firing “couldn’t happen soon enough.”

“I lost confidence in Comey a long time ago,” the Kentucky Republican said on Fox News. “In fact, I never even voted for his confirmation.

“He had the confidence of almost no one,” he said.
