(ABC7) -- Maryland State's Attorney Tony Covington announced Monday afternoon that Carlos Bell, a former Charles County Public School instructional assistant who is HIV positive, assaulted 24 students and has been indicted on 119 counts dating back from May 2015 to June 2017.
Bell also faces 12 counts of child sexual abuse, according to Covington. Officials say the indictment of Bell also includes three counts of transmitting or attempting to transmit the HIV virus.
An investigation is still ongoing and officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
