Two teenage victims told police that Jared Anderson, 29, who was an English teacher at Judson High School for more than a year at the time of his arrest in March 2016, had the boys play sexual games at the sex parties he hosted. At the parties, Anderson would reportedly walk around nude and sexually aroused.
Two months after police arrested Anderson, school officials recalled student yearbooks to discard a page honoring Anderson as Teacher of the Year, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

When Anderson learned he was Teacher of the Year, according to the yearbook page, he was "shocked that he had won."

"He couldn't believe a teacher that was relatively new to the school could win such an award," the yearbook stated. "So much so that he had to ask the administrative team the reasons as to why he was chosen."
Anderson, a married Mormon and father of two, including a toddler boy, had also been a group leader at his church, where seven of his victims were members.

Before he was fired, the district placed Anderson on administrative leave following his indictment on multiple counts of sexual performance by a child.
One party at Anderson's home on Feb. 12, 2016, was called a "bros night." Seven boys between the ages of 15 and 17 attended the party, San Antonio police spokesman Sgt. Jesse Salame told the Express-News. Anderson had a sign on his door stating, "The last one to get naked has to get the first dare."

In yet another case reported by the Express-News, Anderson and a 17-year-old boy had exchanged photos of their private parts. Anderson had challenged him to see who could be the most "obscene."
The police report revealed that the boys attending Anderson's party were told to "crawl around naked and touch each other" and "place their genitals on another boy's face."
Anderson also tell the boys to wrestle each other and hug him while he was nude.

After Anderson was caught having sex parties, he reportedly called the boys' parents and left voicemail messages and sent texts that were later cited as evidence against him.

During Anderson's sentencing hearing Monday, church counselor Iam Vassiloras testified, according to KSAT-TV.
"He wanted to be accepted by them (the boys) so he was willing to do whatever it took," said Vassiloras, who also explained that Anderson had been through intense therapy since his arrest.
"He's human," Vassiloras reportedly said. "There might be some little tidbits popping up, but it will never lead him down this path again."
Anderson's attorney, Eduardo J. Garcia, said the former teacher made a plea deal a month ago and pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual performance by a child and two counts of indecency with a child by exposure.
Anderson had faced up to 20 years in prison. But he received a sentence of 10 years as part of his plea deal. He has also been fined between $1,500 and $9,000 on each count.
