Never have I been so outright disgusted as I am today after some on the Patriots team took a knee during the national anthem. I am 84, and my sister is 86.
They should have been more thoroughly booed than they were. My sister loves the New England Patriots, but she is loving it every time the Houston Texans make a great play today. What does that tell you when a die-hard supporter cheers on the other team?
I can’t believe these idiots don’t realize they are disrespecting all those who fought and died to help this country grow and become ‎the best place in the world to live. Where else would they draw those big salaries? That flag and the anthem that Francis Scott Keys wrote to honor the country, the flag and all those who fought and died for what it represents is being “spit” on by these stupid, ignorant jerks. There are those of us who more and more, when we see them in action, are happy to know we will not be around when the country is left in their hands.
God help all our children and grandchildren who are like us and will have to live with the end result of these people who are unworthy to live in the United States of America under the Red, White and Blue.
