San Juan, Puerto Rico (CNN)Hurricane Maria turned streets into raging rivers early Thursday afternoon as it continued to ravage the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico on its tear across the Caribbean.
In just the past 24 hours, Maria had dumped 30 inches of rain on parts of Puerto Rico, where millions of residents weren’t expected to have power for months.
