(POLITICO) — Alyssa Farah, a top adviser to the conservative House Freedom Caucus, is leaving Capitol Hill to become Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary, according to a senior administration official.

Farah is taking over for Marc Lotter, who has been with Pence since the campaign and is leaving the administration at the end of the month. Christina Mandreucci, a deputy press secretary for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who worked on both his 2016 presidential and Senate campaigns, will also be joining Pence’s office as regional media manager.

Farah has served as the top spokesperson and a senior adviser for the Freedom Caucus since March 2016, and previously worked as communications director for Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) who now chairs the group.
