(Western Free Press) — President Trump recently made headlines for another necessary critique of the left-leaning mainstream media. In his words: “Network news has become so partisan, distorted, and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked. Not fair to [the] public!”
Democrats immediately cried out in outrage. Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) criticized the president for his “urges [to] harm the news media.” Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM) accused the president of “openly suggesting an abuse of power.” Some House Democrats are even calling for congressional hearings to disavow the president’s comments “publicly and under oath.” As if there aren’t better uses for taxpayer money. Given the liberal media’s pro-Democrat sympathies, their reaction is hardly surprising.
Meanwhile, the liberal media predictably played victim. One CNN headline reads: “Donald Trump just issued a direct threat to the free and independent media.”
They all face an inconvenient truth: Donald Trump is right.
