(DAILY CALLER) -- Police brought up an Illinois teacher on drug charges Monday after her students recorded her snorting lines of cocaine inside her classroom.
Police arrested 24-year-old English teacher Samantha Cox last week after her students provided footage of “a teacher ‘snorting’ a line of an illegal substance” to the school principal, the Chicago Tribune reported. Police brought in a search dog which found more cocaine in the drawer of Cox’s desk. She faces a felony charge of cocaine possession and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

“We are concerned and saddened by the recent incident, and we have recognized that it is a systemic issue in our country,” school board President Janice Malchow told the Tribune. “Lake Central has provided parent information sessions for the past two years; in addition, through various formats LC has provided our students an awareness of challenges that they might encounter. We believe in open communication about the issue. It takes a village to battle this ugly demon.”
