While MSNBC host Joe Scarborough claims he has anonymous sources close to Donald Trump who tell him the president suffers from early stages of dementia and is “mentally unfit,” top aides and allies of the commander-in- chief are going on the record with a completely different story.
The president, whom they describe as fully engaged and extraordinarily energetic, has numerous accomplishments in his first year in office and is headed in a positive direction, they contend.
“If media coverage was fair, unbiased, down the the middle, there would be 100 stories about the unstoppable momentum and energy of the Oval Office,” said senior adviser Stephen Miller, according to the Washington Examiner.
Scarborough said Thursday on “Morning Joe” that people close to Trump during the 2016 campaign told him the president “had early stages of dementia.”

Pointing to tensions with North Korea, Scarborough urged Cabinet members to remove Trump from the presidency because he’s “completely detached from reality.”
“You serve America and you know it,” Scarborough said, speaking to Cabinet members. “You know you don’t serve Donald J. Trump. … You don’t represent him. You represent 320 million people whose lives are literally in your hands and we are facing a showdown with a nuclear power.”
Fox News host Sean Hannity defended the president and suggested that Scarborough get “help” for his “obsessive-compulsive hatred” of Trump.
“Maybe liberal Joe, maybe you should worry about getting your emotions in check and not letting this obsessive-compulsive, nonstop hatred of President Trump send him over the edge,” Hannity said Thursday.

Miller is among those listing numerous Trump achievements – including slashing regulations, defeating ISIS on the battlefield, curbing illegal immigration and working toward a historic win on tax reform and job creation – and said that during the 2016 campaign he had “never seen anybody work harder, put effort into anything in my entire life.”
And Trump, according to Miller, has kept up the campaign pace in the White House.
“If you get a call from the president it is not at all unusual that you get the call before you’ve even gotten up for the day,” he said. “And you could be getting a call from him long after you’ve finished your work for the night. So he’s the first one working in the morning and the last one in the evening.”
Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, who said the American people like Donald Trump and are angry at media for its one-sided coverage, also noted many Trump achievements that have been virtually ignored.
This week, for example, U.S. third-quarter growth was revised to a three-year high of 3.3 percent.
“We never saw that with Barack Hussein Obama, and when Trump pledged 3 percent or greater, they mocked him and made fun of him and said it wasn’t possible and it was delusional to think it,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh also pointed out the Dow reached an all-time high this week, job openings are at a record high, the unemployment rate is the lowest in six years, consumer confidence is at a six-year high, new home sales a 10-year high, consumer confidence a 17-year high, new home average prices an all-time high and federal manufacturing a 24-year high.
“There is a Trump economy. It is a rebound. There is a surging, growing economy,” Limbaugh said.
More than 150 of Trump’s achievements in his first year are compiled in a list that forms the heart of WND’s Thank Trump campaign, which allows Americans to send the president a personalized e-card to express their gratitude.
WND’s list of achievements will be updated daily through Jan. 20, the first anniversary of Trump’s inauguration.
