Left-wingers are warning their own that one of President Trump’s most enduring accomplishments will be his appointment of federal judges.

Jessica Levinson, a Loyola Law School professor in Los Angeles, says in a recent commentary at U.S.News that the president’s influence could reverberate “for decades to come.”

“Focus on the judiciary,” she warns.

“Undoing” his changes, Levinson lamented, might be “all but impossible for at least another generation.”

It’s one of Trump’s many accomplishments in his first 10 months in office, which WND is tracking and compiling in a BIG LIST.

Levinson, who blasted Republicans in the Senate for not approving Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee in his last year in office, said Trump’s nominees “could be the biggest change to the federal judiciary in almost 40 years, dating back to when Congress created the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 1980.”

She explained, “Along with the record number of judicial vacancies that Trump has to fill, enlarging the judiciary would help the president continue to shape the legal precedents for at least half a century.”

She called the 2016 election, won by Trump, a “natural disaster” and said people are being distracted by any number of issues, from taxes, immigration and climate change to education and the Russian investigation.

“Let’s remember why the makeup of the federal judiciary is so important. Federal judges are appointed for life and hear a myriad of cases dealing with federal statutes and the Constitution. So if one turns out to be racist, or sexist, or incompetent there’s almost no way to get rid of him. A federal judge can only be removed from office if he is first impeached by the House of Representatives and then convicted by the Senate,” Levinson wrote.

She pointed out that that “almost never happens.”

But she admitted that single judges in various instances have derailed Trump’s plans for border security and for cutting back on transgenders in the military.

And, she said “more than 90 percent of federal court cases are handled by lower federal courts.”

Levinson’s commentary, however, failed to explain that Democrats, in the minority in the Senate for now, are “trying to slow” movement on Trump’s judicial nominees.

For example, three Democratic senators recently sidetracked two of Trump’s nominees by withholding blue slips, a tradition in the Senate that requires approval from a judge’s home state senators to move a nomination forward.

The White House is working on an estimated 150 judicial vacancies. And while Democrats don’t like to bring up the prospect, several liberal U.S. Supreme Court justices are aging. Stephen Breyer and Anthony Kennedy are at the age most justices depart, and Ruth Ginsburg is past it. Breyer and Ginsburg are unrelentingly liberal, while Kennedy is considered a swing vote.

President Trump’s first appointment to the high court, Neil Gorsuch, who has become a reliable conservative vote, is only 50, and could be on the bench for another three or four decades.

That means Trump could move the court significantly in the direction of conservatism during his term by appointing one or more additional justices.

U.S. News said both sides harbor resentments. The Democrats were enraged that the GOP-led Senate wouldn’t take up Obama’s Supreme Court nominee in his last year in office, and Republicans remember how then-Majority Leader Harry Reid removed their filibuster power over some judicial nominations.

Levinson noted the GOP proposes increasing the number of federal judgeships, which would open more seats on the bench to Trump appointees.

Trump’s accomplishments on the judiciary is just one of the reasons for a new campaign that allows Americans to respond through the Thank Trump Card Campaign at ThankTrump.us.

The campaign was created by WND Founder and CEO Joseph Farah.

Farah said in a recent interview he’s even more thankful than in the 1980s when Ronald Reagan was around.

“You know, for me, I thought we’d never see his likes again. What we’re seeing right now is even more exciting. Trump is a man of action. He’s a man of courage, he cannot be deterred, he doesn’t care what people say about him,” he said.

“We have not seen anything like this in our lifetimes,” Farah told interviewer Alex Jones. “I mean, I was around for Reagan. In fact, Reagan was the guy, the personality, who took me from the far left to being a constitutional, limited government kind of guy. That’s what Reagan did for me, but what Trump is doing in his first year, the accomplishments are greater; they’re more stunning. I’m just amazed at how much he’s doing. He’s taken us completely off defense. He’s on offense all the time.”

However, Trump’s boldness has engendered severe opposition, from the Democratic Party, the establishment media, the “deep state,” billionaires George Soros and Tom Steyer, Hollywood and establishment Republicans.

“We can have a pity party, Alex Jones and Farah, about all the people who have attacked us and opposed us all along,” Farah said. “It’s nothing compared to what Trump is facing.”

If only there was a way ordinary Americans could thank Trump for all he has done and encourage him to continue doing great things for the country, Farah thought. That’s why the WND founder launched the Thank Trump Card Campaign at ThankTrump.us.

This unique campaign allows users to send a digital thank you card to President Trump free of charge. Participants simply go to ThankTrump.us, select one of nine e-card designs, type a personalized message if desired and click “Submit.” Jones complimented Farah on the cards, calling them “Norman Rockwell stuff” and “very beautiful.”

Farah explained WND worked with the White House to ensure there was a path to get the cards to Trump.

“We should be thanking this guy every day for what he is accomplishing,” Farah declared.

Jones, whose InfoWars website ran a story on the ThankTrump.us campaign this week, said Americans should be thankful they dodged a bullet in the 2016 election.

“We’d better thank our lucky stars,” Jones said. “The Supreme Court we’ve got, what’s happened with the economy, all of it – they planned to sew it all up when Hillary got in – the censorship, the control.”

He added: “The answer is to get everybody doing what [WND] and Joseph Farah have done, and that’s what’s going to cause a hydrogen bomb explosion of thankfulness.”

Nearly 14,000 Americans have sent Trump a thank-you card on ThankTrump.us so far. The most popular card has been a spiritually themed one that reads: “Praying for your continued success! May the Lord bless you and keep you.” Forty-three percent of participants have chosen that card design.

“This is not a Joseph Farah show; it’s not a WND show,” Farah said. “This is really about the wonderful, amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity we have to change our country fundamentally because of the election in 2016.”

The campaign recently was expanded with three new e-card messages, in addition to the six original. The new include:

“Thank God for the Trump Miracle.”

And “You are proof that God answers the prayers of His children.”

And “Trump 2020: His vision is sure, and we need 7 more years.”
