Regarding Joseph Farah's column "Maybe that polar bear is just old ...": Polar bears are ruthless killers. They eat anything they can catch – seals, walruses and humans if we get too close. Tourists on those special buses may think the bears are sniffing and reaching for them like a neighbor's friendly Labrador retriever, but they're checking out the menu.
Polar bears are not nice. Ask residents of Churchill, Canada, where bears roam before hibernation. No one is safe. I don't know why anyone lives there, wouldn't want to live there myself!
Enviro-whackos won't acknowledge that earth's climate is in a constant state of flux and always has been. Just because we have satellite TV and smartphones doesn't mean our climate has stabilized, and we'll always have a white Christmas and a warm, sunny Fourth of July for beaches, picnics and fireworks.

They can't explain the ice ages, nor what happened to the great inland sea of North America – but they can sure use an old, dying predator to rouse emotions to support their lunacy.
Sad to see any animal get old and die … but that's nature!
