(WASHINGTON TIMES) -- President Trump on Friday signed the stopgap spending bill to to keep the government running until Dec. 22, said the White House, providing lawmakers breathing room to pass tax cuts and smooth out budget snags.
Congress passed the legislation late Thursday to avoid a government shutdown Saturday.
Mr. Trump and the Republican-run Congress still have some issues to resolve before passing a long-term spending bill before the next shutdown deadline.
