Lately, I have been giving some thought to the shooting episodes. My thinking is that we should protect children at least as well as we protect grocery products in stores. Naturally, this is a rather facetious statement, but let us consider the following:
1. Trump, in conjunction with Congress, should establish a grant by the federal government to schools that request funding for "school security." School security would include hiring armed officers that walk the school interior and grounds. However, such would also include a redundancy of high-resolution video with monitors that image outside the school, within the hallways and within the classroom.
2. Establish training and certification for willing teachers or other employees of a school to have concealed carry capability.

As we know, a majority of all shootings have occurred in "gun freeze zones." These suggestions noted above would effectively make the school no longer gun free. Additionally, the use of the imaging technology would direct the officers to the site of involvement much more rapidly than simply hiring security guards.
