He may have taken the place of God for a while in the popular film "Bruce Almighty," but Jim Carrey's latest piece of art gets biblical, bloody and political as he depicts President Trump crucifying Jesus.
In his latest work shared Sunday night on Twitter, the Canadian-born comic actor features Trump dressed in the attire of Roman soldier with an angry look on his face as he hammers a nail through the palm of the Son of God.

Blood is shown streaming out from Christ's hand onto the piece of wood on which He was executed.
On top of the image, Carrey wrote a personal message, stating: "Christianity, Trump style: 'Jesus was a loser. A failed carpenter. He's a savior because he was crucified. I like people that weren't crucified.'"

Though born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Carrey became a U.S. citizen in 2004.
After attacking gun rights in the U.S. in a 2013 Funny or Die video called "Cold Dead Hand," thousands of Americans signed a Change.org petition urging Carrey be deported.
