(JERSEY JOURNAL) -- A bank robber changed his mind about a heist in Bayonne Friday afternoon, but not before a teller saw the tell-tale note demanding cash, authorities said.
A man walked into the Valley National Bank on Broadway, near 24th Street, just after 2 p.m. and approached a teller, Bayonne Lt. Eric Amato said. The man then passed a note to the teller demanding her to give him "all the money," Amato said.
The indecisive bank robber grabbed the note back as the teller was reading it and then he told her that he wanted to open an account, Amato said.
