(KRQE) -- ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Members at Messiah Lutheran Church say the spent months planning this so-called "swap meet." They say their efforts were ruined in an instant after criminals pried their way into a storage container on Thursday.
Thieves bypassed the lock and pulled the door right off its hinges to get inside.
"It's all wiped out," says organizer Patricia Baca. Baca says the clothes collected were for the back to school event the church hosts every year, helping kids in need. Albuquerque Public Schools also promotes it its website.
