(DAILY MAIL) — An Oregon rancher who was pardoned by President Donald Trump last week after being jailed for arson attacks has revealed he wants to see religion in schools.

Trump pardoned Dwight Hammond, 76, and his son Steven Hammond, 49, after they were convicted in 2012 for setting fire to federal lands where they held grazing rights for their cattle.

Their convictions triggered an armed stand-off at a wildlife refuge in 2016 over ranchers’ access to public lands in the West.
