Liberals used to advocate for free speech, now they suppress it.
Infowars and Alex Jones are under an unprecedented attack by the enemies of free speech. Their popular podcasts and videos have been banned from YouTube, Facebook, iTunes, Spotify and Stitcher for violating their prohibitions on "hate speech." Twitter suspended Jones for making "controversial" comments about the media and Antifa. Meanwhile, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said he "fully admit[s]" Twitter employees share a largely left-leaning bias.
The FCC also shut down a Texas station which broadcasts Liberty Radio programming (Alex Jones's radio network) and slapped them with a $15,000 fine for operating without a license.
These events should alarm anyone who believes in the Constitution and supports free speech, yet most on the left gleefully support shutting down InfoWars and other voices on the right.
The left is accusing Alex Jones and InfoWars of promoting hate. I've appeared on InfoWars many times and I've never heard "hate speech." InfoWars has libertarian and conservative leaning views. Jones does espouse conspiracy theories I don't agree with, but his network also reports real news and airs opinions that the mainstream media want to bury.
Alex Jones is not the first broadcaster targeted by intolerant left-wing activists. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage and others have all been targeted and they've been fighting against censorship for decades.
Emboldened by the suppression of InfoWars, a cabal of left-wing activist groups are ramping up efforts to target and censor Laura Ingraham by pressuring sponsors to stop advertising on her primetime Fox News show.
As reported by Breitbart news, actor and comedian John Leguizamo called on sponsors to boycott Laura Ingraham's "The Ingraham Angle" because of what he describes as her "racist" and "xenophobic" views.
In 2012, Leguizamo said that Latino Republicans "are like roaches for raid."
Leguizamo joins a long line of left-wing activists attempting to force Ingraham off the air. Anti-gun activist David Hogg and director Judd Apatow have also demanded sponsors boycott Ingraham's show.
Groups such as Colorofchange.org, Right Wing Watch, Southern Poverty Law Center, Sleeping Giants and Stop Funding Hate monitor and target conservatives for boycotts.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media protects hate groups like Black Lives Matter even after they were caught on camera encouraging killing cops at a march in NYC and chanting "pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon" in Minnesota.
They defend Antifa – a radical leftist group (comprised of Communists and anarchists) whose members openly call for the murder of President Trump. They recently attacked conservatives Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk in Philadelphia. Here is CNN's Chris Cuomo defending Antifa violence with a straight face.
Trump weighed in on the removal of Alex Jones and his InfoWars shows.
"Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices," the president wrote in the first of several tweets. "Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won't let that happen."
InfoWars reaches a young, mostly male audience disillusioned with both political parties. Most support Trump and can't stand Hillary Clinton. They see Trump as an outsider who will put America first and take on open border globalists. The fact that InfoWars is reaching these people is a serious threat to Democrats and RINOs.
Liberals cannot win in the battle of ideas, so they resort to banning or suppressing ideas they don't like.
Black conservatives like myself, Larry Elder, Sheriff Clarke, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Candace Owens and others are often blocked from getting our message into the black community. BET and other black run media outlets suppress our voices.
Black activists have threatened to get my show banned. Left-wing attack dogs like Right Wing Watch monitor conservative shows and post videos on their site with outrageous headlines trying to twist our words and portray us as "hateful."
The first radio show I hosted in the 90s was on a Christian station in Los Angeles. Black preachers and activists threatened to shut down the station if they didn't stop airing my show. The station owner, a white man, tried to hang on, but he was afraid of losing advertisers and pulled my show.
The children of the lie don't want the truth to reach the majority of blacks because they don't want blacks to wake up and walk away from the Democratic Party.
Despite their efforts to suppress the truth, blacks are waking up in unprecedented numbers. They call in to my show, email and message me all the time with testimonies about how they forgave their parents and dropped their anger. As a result, they no longer see themselves as victims, and their worldview is now diametrically opposite of the Democrats.
Fake news is using that "that dog" Omarosa to try and smear the president and turn blacks against him, but a new Rasmussen poll shows Trump's approval rating among black voters soared to 36 percent. This time last year: 19 percent.
What is happening to Alex Jones, Laura Ingraham and other conservative-leaning voices is an organized effort by the left to stamp out their political opponents and silence those who speak truth. If they can do it to InfoWars and Alex Jones – they will do it to others.
