Left-wing activists carrying red flags in a counter-protest in Washington, D.C., Sunday called for an end to the United States.
“No border, no wall, no USA at all!” chanted members of antifa, the movement that styles itself as “anti-fascists.”
In a video by Breitbart News, antifa members, clad in black with masks and helmets on their heads, are seen marching in protest of the “Unite the Right 2” rally in Lafayette Park in front of the White House.
The masked antifa protesters also were heard chanting “f— the pigs,” referring to police officers, the Gateway Pundit blog reported.
The counter-protesters far outnumbered the protester who purportedly came in support of white civil rights, ABC News reported.
The protests came on the one-year anniversary of a violent rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in which the Unite the Right group protested the planned removal of the statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. One counter-protester was killed, and two state troopers died in a helicopter crash on the way to Charlottesville.
On Saturday night at a Black Lives Matter protest in Charlottesville, protesters were videoed beating a police officer in the street, the Gateway Pundit reported.
A protester was heard screaming: “You don’t protect us! You don’t protect sh–!”
At the same event, NBC reporter Cal Perry was repeatedly attacked by protesters.
