A professor who tweeted about teaching "future dead cops" and assassinating both President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence is the founder of the group that harassed Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife at a restaurant in the nation's capital Monday night.
In support of two women who have accused U.S. Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault without corroboration, members of Smash Racism DC chased the Cruzes out of the restaurant chanting "we believe survivors!"

The group's founder is Mike Isaacson, who worked in the economics department at the Manhattan college of the City University of New York, and was placed on administrative leave last year after his "dead cops" tweet, reported Paul Joseph Watson for PrisonPlanet.com.
After the restaurant incident, Smash Racism DC vowed in a tweet to target other Republicans.

"You are not safe. We will find you. ... We will take from you the peace you have taken from so many others," the group said.
The Hill reported in September 2017 that Isaacson is a founder of Smash Racism DC, although it's unknown if he still has any involvement with the group.

The tweet that led to Isaacson being placed on administrative leave at CUNY said: "Some of y'all might think it sucks being an anti-fascist teaching at John Jay College but I think it's a privilege to teach future dead cops."
Two videos posted by Smash Racism DC show a protester confronting Cruz and his wife, Heidi, as they entered the restaurant.
The senator, before taking a seat, tells the woman "God bless you."
After the protesters surrounded the table and resumed chanting, Cruz and his wife decided to leave.
One protester screamed "Vvote no on Kavanaugh!" and "cancel Kavanaugh for women’s rights!"

PrisonPlanet.com noted that on the day of the 2016 election, Isaacson tweeted, "Reminder that if Trump does end up winning this stupid thing to assassinate Mike Pence *first*."
