There’s a problem for Twitter, with its newly announced punishment for those who “misgender” or “deadname” people on the social-media site.

“You would first have to prove that people have a gender,” Hans Fiene told the company, on its own site.

The controversy erupted over the weekend as the company announced it was launching the latest attack on those who resist the social-agenda bullet point that people are not man and woman based on their biology.

The movement claims they are man or woman based on what they think.

That’s the reason there are multiple lawsuits against schools whose officials allow transgenders into the restroom of their feelings, not their biology.

Twitter announced a policy change that apparently will result in punishment, if banishment from the site is punishment, for offenders.

“Repeated and/or non-consensual slurs, epithets, racist and sexist tropes, or other content that degrades someone We prohibit targeting individuals with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to dehumanize, degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category. This includes targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals.”

“Deadnaming” apparently is calling a man named John who says he’s a woman and wants to be called Susan by the name John.

And “misgendering” is calling a man “Sir” when his preference is to be called “ma’am.”

Twitchy captured the lengthy presentation by Fiene on the social movement.

“Our moral superiors at Twitter have decided to institute a policy of suspending or outright banning users they deem guilty of ‘misgendering and deadnaming,'” the site said.

They’ve even updated their “terms of service.”

“What they don’t seem to realize, however, is that in their pursuit of tolerance and intersectionality, they’re only showcasing their own intolerance and close-minded foolishness,” Twitchy said.

For example, “Lutheran pastor and senior Federalist contributor Hans Fiene set out to explain Twitter’s huge mistake…”

He explained:

“Threatening twitter-bans (or lawsuits or whatever) for ‘misgendering’ is a giant exercise in begging the question. In order to make the argument that ‘misgendering’ is wrong, you would first have to prove that people have a gender.”

He continued, “But how can you prove such a thing? Gender, we are frequently told, is not rooted in biology. It’s not rooted in anatomy or chromosomes. It can’t be viewed under a microscope. It is an immaterial, inner feeling.”

And, “In other words, gender is a philosophical/religious concept like the idea of the soul and, perhaps more to the point, soul mates. Can you prove that people have a soul? Not scientifically. Can you prove that someone is your soul mate? Again. No.”

Further, “You can believe it. But if a biological male says to me ‘ignore my anatomy. My gender identity is female and you must refer to me as such,’ he’s not simply asserting his dogma. He’s imposing it on me.”

For Twitter’s agenda?

“They are engaging in anti-religious bullying-harassing those who reject the new, hip orthodoxy,” he said.

He made two more points: “Leftists only value free speech as a tool, not as a concept. Once they’ve used the free speech tool to assume positions of power, they will burn it lest anyone else use it to take that position away from them.”

And, “When people imagine Christianity to be foolish and cruel, the religions they invent to replace it are a thousand times stupider and more oppressive.”

“Well said,” finished Twitchy.
