You’ve heard about “The Trump Prophecies.”

There have been books about them, now even a movie has been made about those who supposedly were given precognitions, insights – some detailed and powerful – that Donald J. Trump would become president long before anyone could see it coming even as a remote possibility.

A retired fireman named Mark Taylor wrote a bestseller about his strange experience back in 2011. It was turned into a 2018 movie.

Charisma Magazine’s Steve Strang claims he knows four different “prophets”who made similar predictions before the election.

But the most fantastic story may belong to a late prominent Catholic author who first told of a premonition he received back in the 1980s that Trump would become president and “lead America back to God.”

The story is told in a largely forgotten 2017 YouTube video by Father Giacomo Capoverdi, an American priest, though it has been viewed by more than 400,000 in almost two years since it was posted.

Capoverdi was living in Bristol, Rhode Island, in 2000 when he made the acquaintance of Dr. Claudio Curren who urged him to visit the Our Lady of Loreto Basilica in Italy, a shrine to the Virgin Mary, during a trip he was planning to Rome. He wanted him to meet the man known as “The Hermit of Loreto” – an American named Tom Zimmer, the author of the “Pieta Prayer Book,” which Capoverdi claims sold some 10 million copies. Zimmer spent his last years as a hermit living at Our Lady of Loreto.

The priest took Dr. Curren up on his suggestion and had a warm meeting with Zimmer, whom he described as a “beautiful man” and “very holy.”

When Capoverdi returned to Rhode Island, Dr. Curren told him about the amazing premonition Zimmer had about Trump.

“There is a man who is going to lead out country back to God,” Dr. Curren recalled Zimmer telling him. “It’s Donald Trump.”

“You mean the billionaire playboy?” Dr. Curren asked Zimmer incredulously.

“Yes,” said Zimmer, adding he was so sure Trump would become a great spiritual leader of America that he wrote his name on a brick and had it placed in the reconstruction of St. Peter’s Holy Door after the Jubilee so Trump would receive blessings from the many Masses that would be said in the Vatican.

Zimmer never got to see his premonition fulfilled. He died Sept. 10, 2009, a year after returning to America from Loreto.

What made Capoverdi hold back the story until 2017? He said he became determined to get the message out after he saw Melania Trump begin a political rally in Florida by reciting the Lord’s Prayer.
