Would 10,000 liberals die a day early to extend Ginsburg’s life?

A tweet wondering whether 10,000 people would be willing to die a day early if they could give that time to Supreme Court justice Ruth Ginsburg had talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh pointing out just how crazy liberals are.

“This is beyond ludicrous. This is asinine,” he told his listeners Tuesday.

He was referring to a tweet from Roger Simon, the chief political columnist of Politico.

“If it were possible, would you subtract one day off your life and add it to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life for one extra day of good health?” he asked.

“If just 10,000 people did this, it would add 27 productive years to her life.”

“Who thinks this way?” Limbaugh asked. “This is illustrative of a certain kind of thinking that is scary, funny, hilarious and quite illuminating at the same time.”

For one thing, it illustrates liberals’ depth of dedication to abortion, he said.

Abortion and the prospect of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision establishing a right to abortion loomed large in the contentious battle over the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a devout Catholic.

“So that’s why they have this obsession. There’s more to it than that, but that’s basically the explanation for this. And it’s really not so much about Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” Limbaugh said. “It’s about maintaining abortion as constitutional. It’s about a paranoia related to that coupled with the fevered hatred they have for Donald Trump.”

Ginsburg has suffered a number of health issues, and her fans have offered even their own organs to help her.

But Limbaugh said Simon’s idea is “profoundly silly and profoundly stupid.”

“Dangerous? Again, I ask who is it that thinks this way? Leftist weirdos think this way. This is pure make-believe. This is pure fantasy. And for what? What is even the point here? ‘Oh, yes, I would.’ Fine, 10,000 say they would do it. What have you accomplished? What have you done?” he said.

“So the next question, what explains the obsession with Ruth Bader Ginsburg? It’s a good question, because she’s only one of four liberals on the court. You have Breyer, you have Sotomayor, you have Kagan, and you have Ruth ‘Buzzi’ Ginsburg.”

He said liberals consider it unacceptable that Trump could nominate yet another justice to the court.

Upon learning of the story, actor James Woods created a Twitter hashtag of #TwilightZoneLiberals.

On Twitter, Craig McCraw wondered, “What kind of idle-minded, whack-a-doo, hypothetical question in THIS?”

John Dennis said: “I believe Nurse Ratched is looking for you, Roger. It’s ‘medication time.'”

Glenn Adelson said: “27 more years of sleeping on the job.”

His reference was to the fact that Ginsburg has been known to snooze during court sessions.
