(East Idaho News) A man listed for deportation pleaded guilty Monday after a teenage girl told authorities she’d had a sexual relationship with him.
Prosecutors will request probation for 24-year-old Luis F. Corona as part of a plea agreement. Corona was facing one charge of sexual battery of a minor child age 16 to 17 years old. As part of the plea agreement, the charge was amended to felony injury of a child.
The agreement stipulates Corona is required to participate in sex offender and substance abuse treatment programs.

The prosecution and defense are free to argue for the exact amount of time they see fit for Corona to spend on probation. Felony injury to a child carries a maximum sentence of 10 years. District Judge Joel Tingey will decide whether or not to give Corona prison time or probation and how long Corona will spend in prison or on probation.
