The “Green New Deal” summary that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., removed from her website after widespread ridicule has been entered into the Congressional Record for posterity.

The resolution, co-sponsored by Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., calls for extreme actions such as phasing out air travel, providing incomes for those “unwilling” to work and remodeling every building in the country.

It aims for “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions’ by 2030, universal health care and a national grid to incorporate wind and solar power.

Presidential candidates Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Cory Booker, D-N.J., are supporting it.

The Washington Examiner reported the summary of the resolution, which proposed ending beef consumption, was abruptly removed, but House Republicans have fixed that problem.

“Yesterday, we entered into the record the frequently asked questions and the overview that were posted and then deleted from Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s website,” Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., confirmed.

“It’s very important the American people see and that there be transparency about what they’re pushing.”

She also revealed she’s asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.,  to hold a vote on the proposal.

“We call on Speaker Pelosi to put this up for a vote on the floor,” Cheney said. “We think Democrats need to be held accountable. If they support this as they say they do and as their presidential candidates do, then let’s have a vote on it and see to what extent they’re all going to get behind moving toward this kind of fantasy.”

The resolution will get a vote in the Senate, according to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

In a campaign email this week, he warned that the Democrats’ plan would “wreck our economy and fundamentally alter[] our way of life.”

“On their wish list? Ending air travel. Destroying American energy. Banning cow farts. Yes, cow farts,” he wrote. “Worse yet – this Far Left plan that will cost TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS is actually being embraced by Democrats running for president.

“We want all these Democrats on the record in support of this socialist fantasy when it goes down in defeat in the Senate.”
