(New Jersey Advance) Apotex Corporation has recalled four lots of birth control pills because the tablets may have been arranged incorrectly or could be missing, the FDA announced Monday.
The packaging error could cause women to not take a table because it was missing or take an active tablet instead of placebo which could lead to an unplanned pregnancy, a recall statement said.
The pills must be taken in the correct order for them to be effective.
