Democrats' mind-bending illogic in defense of Omar

Even in an illogical world, one hopes to find some logic. This, then, has been the struggle in the wake of Democrats defending anti-Semitic comments repeatedly uttered by one of their own, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. It requires a stretch but such logic within Democrats' illogical world of Omar's defense may exist.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other senior Democratic Party leaders contrived excuses for Omar's hateful comments.

Pelosi claims Omar does not say what she means, that she "has a different experience in the use of words" – presumably an acknowledgment that, having been born in Somalia and immigrating to the U.S., English is Omar's second language. Thus, her comments were not "intentionally anti-Semitic."

This raises several questions:

When did Pelosi gain such a psychic ability?
If Omar lacks a solid grasp of English, does that mean her subsequent apology was also unintentional?
Should it not concern us that someone serving on such an important committee as House Foreign Affairs lacks a full grasp of English?

Pelosi put Omar on that committee, and now, for reasons of English-speaking incompetence and bias, she should be removed.

Meanwhile, House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., offered his own Omar defense.

Clyburn finds her comments understandable due to her suffering – fleeing violence in Somalia and spending four years in a Kenyan refugee camp. He distinguishes Omar's suffering as "more personal" than Jews a generation or two removed from the Holocaust. He added, "I've talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain."

While such a comparison is callous toward Jews, Clyburn's Omar defense is misguided for other reasons.

It is incomprehensible to suggest earlier suffering in life somehow grants one a free pass to exercise bias toward another. This is especially so in Omar's case since her alleged "suffering" was not even imposed upon her by Jews but by her fellow Muslims.

While Clyburn criticized the media for failing to share Omar's past hardships, he is guilty of failing to share why Omar fled.

Up until age 10, Omar enjoyed a pretty good life in Somalia – a Marxist-Leninist socialist state under the brutal dictator, Mohammad Siad Barre. Her family reaped rewards for supporting Barre and was only forced to flee in 1991 when he fell from power. Ironically, after her family supported an inhuman Somali dictator, Omar denies President Trump's humanity.

Strangely, the congressional representative from Minnesota, born in a Muslim country unaffected by any ill effects of Jewish influence, somehow immigrated to the U.S. with a severe case of anti-Semitism. Concerned Democrats, although we will not see it happen simply because they are not, should research how this really occurred.

Omar's anti-Semitism was not the result of any personal anti-Muslim experience suffered at the hands of Jews; it resulted from Islamic indoctrination demanding, like the Holocaust, their elimination. Anti-Semitism, taught to 70 generations of Muslims since Islam's founding, continues with Omar's. It is part of her Muslim DNA.

Pelosi needs to attend Friday prayers at a mosque. She would be hard-pressed to find one not promoting anti-Semitism. How many times have we heard imams in the U.S., confronted over making anti-Semitic statements, apologize, only to placate their critics of the moment?

Such indoctrination makes Omar's defense by Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, rationalizing she be given leeway due to her Somalia upbringing, absurd. As a Jew, Schakowsky knows Omar's anti-Semitism is an unabating hatred.

Yet another concern for Omar's placement on the Foreign Affairs Committee exists. Allegations have surfaced she may have violated U.S. law based on possible fundraising supporting the subversive Muslim Brotherhood and its charities – all organizations committed to America's destruction. The Department of Justice has been asked to investigate.

It should be noted the Brotherhood's anti-U.S. interests are clearly documented. Its once-secret mission statement, accidentally discovered, makes known its intent to use our laws against us to conduct "a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of believers."

Any doubts about the Brotherhood's true intentions – absent access to Pelosi's psychic powers – are clear from its still outstanding 2010 declaration of war against us. Thus, if Omar has fundraised for them – a group fully committed to our government's overthrow – she should, at a minimum, be removed from the committee.

One critic of the congresswoman observantly notes the Omar affair rests on two conceptual pillars – her repeating other people's lies about Jewish power and Jewish critics preferring to be offended "rather than outraged by the dishonesty of the tropes."

In the aftermath of Omar's anti-Semitic remarks and much debate among Democrats, a House resolution was passed that proved a win-win for her. Not only did it fail to condemn Omar specifically, it condemned "every form of bigotry." Doing so unjustly equates a real issue – anti-Semitism – to comparatively non-issues, such as Islamophobia.

FBI statistics in 2012 show anti-Semitic hate crimes vastly outnumbered – by almost six-to-one – anti-Islamic hate crimes, with the former taking a major jump in 2017. Yet, cries of Islamophobia unfairly gain attention, more often raised simply when Islam's real and intolerant beliefs are challenged. Woe be to the critic, truthfully claiming Islam teaches that all other religions are to be eradicated or subjugated to it, who then has accusations of Islamophobia rain down upon him!

Meanwhile, despite the resolution, do not expect Democrats to distance themselves from high-profile anti-Semites who will continue their rants, such as Louis Farrakhan.

While denied by Omar, new evidence strongly suggests that she also defrauded the U.S., marrying her brother so he could obtain U.S. citizenship. Perhaps DNA testing is in order for yet another Democrat.

Democrats' logic in outrageously defending Omar and her anti-Semitic bias comes into focus by examining China's relentless defense of North Korea's repeated aggression against South Korea. Beijing's defense is tacitly accepted by virtue of Western inaction. China defends Pyongyang even if irrefutable evidence exists otherwise. Democrats seem to have adopted this same approach to defend Omar.

The insanity of accepting China's illogical defense of North Korea provides Democrats with logic for defending Omar. Unfortunately, both undermine our national security.
