Evangelical leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore already has launched an online petition seeking the removal from Congress of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.
Cardoza-Moore, the president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, cites Omar’s “shameful” anti-Semitism.
Now she’s moved a step further, asking the Justice Department to investigate her.
Jewish Press reports Cardoza-Moore cites Omar’s “possible connections to the radical Muslim Brotherhood,” the organization that aims to help establish Islamic rule worldwide.
She points to 18 US Code § 2385, which says “whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof-Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned.”
Cardoza-Moore said that while Omar “has already established her credentials as a vehement anti-Semite,” she “is far worse than that.”
“Omar may be in violation of a federal statute for fundraising for two Muslim Brotherhood charities that seek to destroy America,” Cardoza-Moore said.
“We the people demand that the Justice Department conduct a full and thorough investigation into her possible connections with the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates. Omar’s anti-Semitic comments do not reflect the values of Americans,” she said.
She pointed to Omar’s participation as a keynote speaker at events for Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups Islamic Relief USA and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), “which suggests her support for subversive factions aligned to destroy America and Western civilization itself,” the report said.
Jewish Press reported Omar was a keynote speaker for Islamic Relief USA in Tampa, Florida, last month and will be keynote speaker at an upcoming CAIR fundraiser in Los Angeles.
CAIR, while portraying itself as a Muslim civil rights organization, “is the American arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, in addition to having close ties to Hamas and Hezbollah. CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist fundraising operation in the history of the United States known as the Holy Land Foundation Trial in 2009,” the report said.
“IRUSA is an arm of the largest Muslim fundraising group globally whose leaders have ties to terrorist groups,” the report said.
Cardoza-Moore asked, “How can a representative of the United States raise money for terrorist groups that seek our demise and equally serve on the House Foreign Relations Committee, or for that matter, as a member of Congress?”
“Today I am emphatically calling on all PJTN ‘Watchmen’ and all concerned Americans to join ‘The Million Signature March,’ a national petition to demand the immediate resignation of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar,” Cardoza-Moore wrote at the time.
“Time is urgent! When news broke last week of her shameful anti-Semitic messaging, President Trump called for her to resign from her congressional seat. Even her own Democrat colleagues echoed Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s tepid call for Omar to apologize.”
Omar was appointed to the Foreign Relations Committee, where she is “privy to the classified information,” Cardoza-Moore pointed out.
“Ilhan Omar must learn that concerned Americans such as you and me stand firmly with our Jewish brethren. We must stand in solidarity to affirm that she will not be allowed to use the heart of American democracy and freedom to defame God’s chosen people and God’s chosen land,” she said.
Omar once wrote on Twitter: “Israel has hypnotized the world. May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”
Cardoza-Moore serves as special envoy to the United Nations for human rights and anti-Semitism on behalf of 44 million Christians.
Omar publicly displayed her animus toward Israel by accusing a pro-Israel action committee of influencing Congress with donations, even though the organization doesn’t donate to political campaigns.
WND reported that in a 2013 interview, Omar complained that Americans say “al-Qaida” as though it’s something negative.
She also, at a hearing of the House Foreign Relations Committee, smeared a Jewish diplomat.
Omar attacked Elliott Abrams, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s special envoy on Venezuela.
“I don’t understand why members of this committee should find any testimony that you give today to be truthful,” she said, referencing controversial charges by the left wing in the 1980s that since have been refuted.
The freshman lawmaker refused to let Abrams respond, saying she was not asking a question.
On Thursday, the House passed a resolution originally intended to condemn Omar’s anti-Semitism. But far-left members watered it down, omitting Omar’s name and adding “Islamophobia,” white supremacism and many other subjects of condemnation.
Omar boasted it was the first time Congress had voted to condemn anti-Muslim “hate.”
