John and his friend Bob were golf fanatics who had been hitting the links every Saturday morning for 24 years.
Following their last outing, John returned home exhausted and plopped down in his easy chair.
His wife becomes concerned and asks if something went wrong with his game.
“No, no,” he replied, “I had the best game I have had in years. As a matter of fact, I started out the first three holes at 4 under par, including a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole.”
“So, why are you so tired?” his wife asked.
“Well, Bob had a heart attack and died on the 4th green,” he replied.
“That’s awful. You must be so exhausted from trying to revive him!” said his wife.
“No, it was very quick and there was nothing anyone could do to save him.”
“I’m exhausted because after he died, it was hit the ball … drag Bob … hit the ball … drag Bob.”
