(Washington Examiner) Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday that Democrats should seriously consider adding two seats to the Supreme Court if they win the White House and a Senate majority.
Holder, who announced earlier this week he will not run for president in 2020, told a crowd at Yale Law School that Democrats should use their potential power to pack the court to counter Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s “power grabbing antics,” according to reports.
A spokesman for Holder confirmed the comments.
