Congressional newcomer Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., escaped punishment after spewing her anti-Semitism when majority Democrats in the House argued for days before coming to the conclusion that they wouldn’t condemn her.
Which maybe is where her daughter, 16-year-old Isra Hirsi, gets the idea the best way to “change the conversation” about “climate” is to have students disrupt schools across the nation with a “strike.”
The plan is outlined in a report by Breitbart.
The report said Hirsi is working with a New York 13-year-old, Alexandria Villasenor, and 12-year-old Haven Coleman of Denver to promote “nationwide youth climate strike protests.”

Hirsi’s mother used the power of her congressional office to promote her daughter’s activism:

“I hope other members of Congress will join me in this strike,” Omar wrote.
Hirsi explained: “That’s what we’re trying to do: Change the conversation not only about things like the Green New Deal but so much more. Obviously, one strike isn’t going to change everything, but this isn’t the last strike.”
Breitbart reported the U.S. climate change walkouts “are part of a large worldwide climate change movement called #FridaysforFuture where tens of thousands of student climate change activists around the world in more than 90 countries are expected to cut class on March 15 to demand that lawmakers in their respective countries take action on climate change and stop global warming.”
Apparently, it got started with a student climate-change activist in Sweden and walked out in protest.
Since then, students in the U.K., Germany, Australia, France, Poland, Ireland, Thailand, Colombia and Uganda have joined.
On Omar’s Twitter page there wasn’t a lot of praise for the congresswoman or her daughter.
Baadmaster wrote: “I agree there is much to be done. But, Ilhan, take a deep breath and THINK before you speak. Like the carpenters say, ‘Measure twice, cut once!’ There is a more important issue here; defeating Trump 2020. Don’t screw it up for us.”
Added Nathan Mark O’Malley: “Are your kids being sponsored by Justice Democrats and Young Turks as well?”
Nadine told Hirsi to make her account private: “This article didn’t do a good thing by advertising it. You’ve attracted fans, but also your mom’s haters now.”
Another Twitter user said: “Kids need to stay in school and have a U.S. History Book put in front of them and taught about this Great Nation – The Land of the FREE and Home of the Brave like I was in the 70s and 80s!! Instead it appears our children are boing indoctrinated by LIBERALS & MSM.”
