In a two-paragraph statement, the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signed an order declaring Al-Aqsa Television to be a terrorist organization, reports Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin..

According to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, authorities revealed last month that Hamas recruiters were posing as journalists and conveying secret messages to West Bank operatives through Al-Aqsa TV.

“According to a recent report from the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, Palestinian terrorists often rely on media affiliations to communicate with operatives and avoid being targeted by Israel during conflicts,” the report said.

“Some of these terrorist-media personalities include an Al-Aqsa TV broadcaster and a correspondent for Hamas’ al-Risalah media outlet who frequently report on the ‘return marches,’ Hamas-orchestrated protests on the Gaza-border,” the report said.

Following anti-terror legislation, Netanyahu signed an order imposing the designation on the channel.

“The decision follows a recommendation by the ISA and the Defense Ministry national anti-economic terrorism unit, which was pursuant to the ISA’s uncovering of the Hamas terrorist organization’s use of the ‘Al Aqsa’ satellite channel to recruit militants to its ranks.”
