‘Christian’ church tells kids: Jesus was ‘queer’

Perhaps they never read the 18th chapter of the Book of Leviticus where the Bible says homosexual relations are an “abomination.”

Or maybe they missed the Book of Genesis which describes God’s firebomb destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for those ancient cities’ wicked sins, with homosexual gang rape specifically mentioned.

Because now a division of the Church of Sweden, which calls itself Protestant, has created an LGBTQ “survival guide” for “Christian queer kids” that claims Jesus was “queer.”

According to the Swedish news site Nya DagBladet, the Diocese of VästerÃ¥s is giving away the guide, claiming “the Bible is not against homosexuality, because the word homosexuality is not mentioned and that the places that have been interpreted as dealing with homosexuality are not about a homosexual love relationship, but about exploitation or rape.”

Words such as “homosexuals” and “sodomites” do, in fact, appear in the New King James translation of the Bible, saying those individuals won’t be part of the kingdom of God: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

The Swedish news site says Jesus “is described as a man who ‘broke the norm.’ According to the guide, some call him ‘queer’ for his way of life, when he ‘questioned the norms of that time.’ He ‘also did not defend the traditional family’ and should have known love for many ‘both men and women.'”

The guide describes the Virgin Mary as a girl who “dares to break traditional sex norms in a patriarchal society.”

And the biblical Joseph, famous for having and interpreting prophetic dreams and for sporting a coat of many colors is portrayed by the guide as someone who “breaks the norms in terms of gender expression and probably went in a suit intended for a king’s daughter.”

The LGBT guide also uses terms including “gender fluid,” “cisperson,” “nonbinary,”, “two sex norm,” and “rainbow fairs.”

“This is part of a growing support for LGBTQ values within left-leaning segments of the church,” said Christian Ellis of CBN News.

“Different denominations have battled internally with approving gay clergy.”
