As President Trump engages in a fierce war of words with four Democratic women in Congress, one of whom is U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, a Hollywood celebrity is going public with a fierce condemnation of Omar, calling her a racist anti-Semite who is an “Islamist at heart and soul.”
The comments are from Chuck Woolery, the former host of popular TV shows including “Wheel of Fortune” and “Love Connection.”
“I don’t believe Ilhan Omar is a Democrat, although they are stuck with her, nor is she independent,” Woolery said in a tweet Monday night. “She is [an] Islamist at heart and soul, just using politics to further her Islamist agenda. She is [an] outspoken anti Semite, and a Racist.”

Woolery’s message has received more than 35,000 likes and has been retweeted more than 10,000 times.
His remarks came just hours after Omar held a news conference with the three other Democratic women in Congress who believe they’re the ones targeted by Trump, who, although he never mentioned their names, told the four to go back to their countries of origin and fix the problems there and then return to the U.S. to demonstrate how it’s done.
Omar is from Mogadishu, Somalia, but the other three were born in America.
During the news conference, Omar said we’re at a “pivotal moment” in the U.S., and it’s time to impeach Trump.
“It is time for us to stop allowing this president to make a mockery out of our Constitution. It’s time for us to impeach this president, Omar said.
“I believe this is a pivotal moment in our country. The eyes of history is watching us. Right now the president is carrying out mass deportation raids across this country, in each one of our districts. Right now the president is committing human-rights abuses at the border, keeping children in cages and having human beings drinking out of toilets.”
“This president, who has been credibly accused of committing multiple crimes, including colluding with foreign government to interfere with our election — this is a president who has overseen the most corrupt administration in our history and pursued an agenda to allow millions of Americans to die from a lack of healthcare, while he transfers millions of dollars in tax cuts to corporations.
“This is a president who has said “grab women by the p***y.” This is a president who has called black athletes sons of [b*tches]. This is a president who has called black — people who come from black and brown countries [a**] holes. This is a president who has equated neo-Nazis with those who protest against them in Charlottesville. This is a president who has openly violated the very value our country aspires to uphold: equality under the law, religious liberty, equal protection, and protection from persecution. And to distract from that, he’s launching a blatantly racist attack on four duly elected members of the United States House of Representatives, all of whom are women of color.”
On Tuesday, radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh commented on Omar’s statement.
“This gets so tiresome. We’re not keeping children in cages,” Limbaugh said. “The American people don’t put people in cages. It’s not government policy, it’s not who we are, people are fed up with this.”
“Human beings are not drinking out of toilets. … Nobody is being forced to drink out of a toilet … but the lies continue.”
“Then she quotes from the Access Hollywood video [regarding grabbing women by their private parts],” Limbaugh continued.
“What you’re hearing here is a never-ending list of things they think of as failures. They have tried to get rid of Donald Trump using every one of these grievances.”
