(OneNewsNow) Rep. Erica Thomas’ (D-Ga.) already debunked claim of racism – allegedly incited by President Trump – continues to backfire, as surveillance video from her Publix grocery store exchange clearly shows the man who she originally said told her to go back where she came did not have clinched fists – contrary to her account.
Thomas’ claim of racial hate went viral after she complained to police that “a white man,” Eric Sparkes – who she implied was a Republican white supremacist Trump supporter – angrily yelled at her and her daughter with a threatening racist verbal attack that made her fear for her life.
"[He ran up to me] with clenched hands in such a manner that he made me fearful for the safety of myself and my daughter,” the African American Georgia lawmaker told police in the report, according to Buzzfeed. “This white man comes up to me and says, ‘You lazy son of [expletive]. You need to go back where you came from.'"
