(Mr. and Mrs. Norris’ post-publishing note: “This article was completed prior to the heinous mass shooting tragedies in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. Our hearts break with all the victims and their families, and we join with millions of others across our nation in praying for the devastating loss of lives and dozens injured. These mass shootings must stop! Please consider my recommendations in my three-part series on how to reduce violent crime in the U.S..”)
This last week I was reading another excellent copy of WND’s Whistleblower. Award-winning journalist and editor David Kupelian hit another homerun with his article, “Big Tech’s Big Secret.” (“Big Tech” refers to the major technology companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon and Facebook, etc., which have inordinate influence over billions of lives).
Wow, did Kupelian’s article reawaken my wife, Gena, and me to the real battleground at the 2020 ballot box.
Mainstream media spent countless hours over the past three years covering and worrying about Russia’s meddling in U.S. political elections, when they should be giving equal coverage (if not more) to Big Tech’s. I understand the differences between a foreign entity’s meddling and one that is U.S.-based. What chaps my hide, however, is they both are trying equally to continue to suppress your freedoms and manipulate your vote and the 2020 election.
Kupelian explained the covert battle plan: “Imagine, just for a minute, that some unseen yet immensely powerful entity existed, one capable of influencing the minds of hundreds of millions of people, shaping their perceptions in such a profound way as to steer them toward voting for a certain party or candidate. Suppose, further, that this influence was virtually undetectable, indeed that the entity was one we had come to admire, consulting it on a daily basis, tapping freely into its vast, almost god-like reservoir of universal knowledge and understanding.”
Kupelian added, “Suppose further that, though imperceptible to us, this great and all-knowing something had a secret plan for our lives and our society, an overriding will to guide and shape us and our world in its benevolent image.”
“This, in essence, is what America – indeed the whole world – is dealing with in the Age of Big Tech.”
To be even more specific, Kupelian wrote, “The Democratic Party, to all appearances, has gone completely mad, embracing wildly radical policies from mass gun confiscation to socialism to late-term abortion to allowing convicted, incarcerated terrorists to vote. Yet the party could well see its candidate elected president in 2020.”
How? First, by Big Tech’s restrictions limiting conservative, Republican and religious voices while simultaneously promoting and expanding the liberal, Democrat and progressive platform and politicians. Then, add to that political cocktail the allied pro-Democrat partnership between Big Tech, mainstream liberal media and the Washington swamp, and you’ve got the trifecta of political terror and blitzkrieg of the 2020 ballot box.
We already know Congress and the Justice Department have recently launched antitrust probes into tech giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter.
Dr. Robert Epstein, a research psychologist for 40 years who earned his Ph.D. from Harvard, testified on the subject of “Google’s threat to democracy.” What’s fascinating is that he’s also a Democrat who voted for Hillary in 2016, yet this researcher categorically said that Google swung roughly 2.6 million votes toward Hillary.
The Liberty Counsel recently cited Epstein, saying Google “displays content to the American public that is biased in favor of one political party.” (Hint: That’s not the GOP!)
Epstein was a former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today and explained to senators that he’s been focused since 2012 on Google’s “power to suppress content … the massive surveillance the company conducts, and also on the company’s unprecedented ability to manipulate the thoughts and behavior of more than 2.5 billion people worldwide.”
He explained, “In 2016, biased search results generated by Google’s search algorithm likely impacted undecided voters in a way that gave at least 2.6 million votes to Hillary Clinton.”
He called that number a “rock-bottom minimum.” The actual number of votes Google gave to Hillary could have been “as high as 10.4 million – depending on how aggressive they were in using the techniques that I’ve been studying. …”
WOW! And mainstream media is worried about Russia?!
“But it gets worse,” as Liberty Counsel warned.
According to Epstein:
- In 2018, Google’s “Go Vote” reminder on Election Day “gave one political party between 800,000 and 4.6 million more votes than it gave the other party.”
- “In the weeks leading up to the 2018 election, bias in Google’s search results may have shifted upwards of 78.2 million votes.”
And the Big Tech ball is just getting rolling.
Epstein concluded, “In 2020, you can bet that all of these companies are going to go all out.” If Big Tech firms get behind one candidate, he warned, “they will have the power to shift 15 million votes to that candidate.”
The Washington Times reported in June, “Google exec in Project Veritas sting says only big tech can stop ‘the next Trump situation.'”
The top Google executive was “caught on hidden camera declaring that the federal government should not break up the tech giant – because then it would be more difficult to prevent” Trump’s reelection.
Another senior Google software engineer, Greg Coppola, a Googler since 2014 who works on the AI Google Assistant, recently joined the group of whistleblowers by confessing that Big Tech can’t be politically neutral and called out his company as “very biased.”
Coppola explained that algorithms “don’t write themselves – we write them to do what we want them to do,” explaining that even AI Google Assistant is “just a tool that we control.” They are like slot machines, calibrated to pay out only enough to keep their users coming back.
Coppola pointed to Google News as another example – a news aggregator that draws from “just a handful of sites, and all those sites are vitriolically against President Trump, which I really consider to be interference in the American election.”
Coppola concluded: “I’m very concerned to see Big Tech and Big Media merge basically with a political party, with the Democratic party.”
Google is not the only pro-Democrat Internet giant advocate. Kupelian detailed another covert mission of Facebook, reported on Breitbart by technology writer Allum Bokhari.
Bretibart discovered an internal Facebook document that “revealed how the social media giant monitors users’ offline behavior to determine whether or not the user should be labeled a ‘hate agent.'”
Bokhari explained that the internal article, titled “Hate Agent Policy Review,” “outlines a series of ‘signals’ that Facebook uses to determine if someone ought to be categorized as a ‘hate agent’ and banned from the platform.”
Bokhari discovered that Facebook will categorize you as a hate agent for possession of “hate paraphernalia,” although the document gives no examples of what that looks like. It also states that Facebook will categorize you as a hate agent for “statements made in private but later made public.”
Facebook’s conservative censorship has already been well documented, and Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) confrontation of its CEO Mark Zuckerberg back in April 2018 remains one of the clearest examples of the social media goliath’s bias.
Sen. Cruz’s diatribe gave ample evidence to any fair inquirer: “Mr. Zuckerberg, I will say there are a great many Americans, who I think are deeply concerned that Facebook and other tech companies are engaged in a pervasive pattern of bias and political censorship. There have been numerous instances with Facebook. In May of 2016, Gizmodo reported that Facebook had purposefully and routinely suppressed conservative stories from trending news, including stories about CPAC, including stories about Mitt Romney, including stories about the Lois Lerner IRS scandal, including stories about Glenn Beck. In addition to that, Facebook has initially shut down the ‘Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day’ page, has blocked a post of a Fox News reporter, has blocked over two dozen Catholic pages, and most recently, blocked Trump supporters Diamond and Silk’s page with 1.2 million Facebook followers, after determining their content and brand were, ‘unsafe to the community.’ To a great many Americans, that appears to be a pervasive pattern of political bias.”
So much for private or public freedom of speech secured for you in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution!
Imagine what all of this will mean to a fair and impartial election run for President Trump, or any other conservative candidate?
I’ll say it again: we’re worried about Russia? Read the Big Tech tea leaves, friends!
National Association of Broadcasters President Gordon Smith said this past week that the federal government should “start applying a public interest standard to Google and Facebook and other Big Tech titans.”
Asked his view of Big Tech, Smith said the Internet goliaths private interests may no longer be in the public interest because they “buy up competition, bury competition, and stifle innovation and investment” because it is in their self-interest to do so.
That is why I believe it’s time at the very least for a bunch of wealthy conservatives to create competitive search engines and social media platforms to combat Big Tech’s monopoly, oppression and suppression of free speech and a free election. Can you imagine how many millions of citizens would jump ship from using the Big Tech companies?
Friends, with the 2020 election coming soon, we must work fast. It’s time to send a strong and forceful message to your representatives. Write, call or email them today, and demand they too fight fast to secure a free election and your own rights as an American citizen.
Let there be no doubt the Big Tech giants are taking their cues from those like the radical organizer Saul Alinsky, who wrote this in his book, “Rules for Radicals:” “Do one of three things. One: go find a wailing wall and feel sorry for yourselves. Two: go psycho and start bombing – but this will only swing people to the right. Three: learn a lesson. Go home, organize, build power and at the next convention, you will be the delegates.”
