(DICKINSON PRESS) — DEADWOOD, S.D. — Delaney Johnston has packed a lot into her singing career. She’s performed in front of crowds around the South Dakota and the Upper Midwest. She’s shared the stage with some well-known country western stars. She’s performed in front of television cameras in Nashville and has released two well-received CDs.

Those accomplishments resulted in an even bigger one last spring when Johnston was included in the 2019 induction class of the South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame.

It takes most performers a lifetime to compile a hall-of-fame worthy resume. Johnston did it before finishing her sophomore year in high school.
