(WALES ONLINE) A modern slavery gang lured hundreds of vulnerable people to the UK on the promise of free accommodation, decent wages, and a better life, a new TV documentary has revealed.
Police say the gang was just one of many believed to be operating across Britain.
The BBC Panorama programme showed how members of a largely family-run gang based in the West Midlands preyed on vulnerable people including those with addictions, criminal backgrounds, and the homeless.
Their central location in West Bromwich made it easy to transport slaves to Wales, London, and other parts of the UK.
