(FOX NEWS) -- Dennis Quaid is officially engaged.

The 65-year-old actor proposed to girlfriend Laura Savoie, 26, after several months of dating, the star confirmed to Extra over the weekend.

“I had the ring in my pocket,” gushed Quaid to the outlet. “It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan — I wanted it to be private.”
