A prestigious music school in Boston is apologizing to its community.
For allowing police to use the restrooms at the school.

The Boston Globe reported school officials said "members of the campus community" were expressing anger, pain and a feeling of "betrayal."

The school statement said, "Allowing police officers into the space was in no way meant to undermine Berklee’s support for Black Lives Matter."
The mistake won't happen again, the school pledged.
"We are deeply sorry for the impact this had on our community and for perpetuating feelings of oppression, silencing, and marginalization," the school said. "We will make a more concerted effort to consider the effects of our actions."
Twitchy, which monitors news on Twitter, noted: "Wow. LEGO tells its stores to stop promoting police-theme sets, 'Cops' and 'Live P.D.' are taken off the air, and now police are banned from using restrooms."
One Twitter user, Emilio Jr., wrote: "Hold it. Apologizing for allowing law enforcement common decency? This makes no sense whatsoever."

And Howard Beal added: "Let's just let them use the street. Then you can be just like San Francisco."
Another pointed out that the school's facilities were off-limits to students and the public because of COVID-19, and "why should be police be an exception?"
