Valerie Jarrett ‘squirms’ when asked about Steele dossier

Longtime Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett says the Obama administration’s use of the now-debunked claims in the Steele dossier, funded by Hillary Clinton, against Donald Trump were a long time ago.

She’d rather talk about what’s happening now.

In an interview with the Fox Business Network, Maria Bartiromo asked Jarrett if she thought fired FBI Director James Comey should go to prison if he knew the dossier was “garbage” and kept the investigation going anyway.

Jarrett said she believes the intelligence community “comported themselves responsibly.”

“I do know that it’s nearly four years ago and I don’t understand why our focus isn’t on what’s happening right now,” she said. “That’s the investigation I’d like.”

Twitchy, which aggregates news on Twitter, asked: “Why doesn’t Valerie Jarrett want to talk about the Steele dossier? Especially with all of the new information coming out about how the FBI absolutely knew the dossier was garbage and still used it as an excuse to target the Trump campaign.

“‘Lets not talk about how my boss tried to interfere in the 2016 election … no no, let’s talk about a pandemic we can politicize to hurt him in November.'”

Bartiromo pointed out America is now learning the details, confirming that the dossier fed to the intel agencies under Obama to fuel the investigation was “made up in a bar.”

She also pointed out conspiratorial statements by Obama and Joe Biden that have come to light, including Biden’s suggestion to get Gen. Michael Flynn on the Logan Act.

Jarrett said the question is, “What are we doing today?”

Bartiromo said she’s worried about the integrity of the coming election.

“That’s why I’m asking you these questions. I am a patriot and do not want to see people in positions of power put their finger on the scale and make up a story,” the FBN host said.

Bartiromo explained that in 2016 there was “one campaign paying for dirt … on another campaign,” and the Obama administration used that disinformation to weaponize intel agencies against then-candidate Trump.
