Charging the Democratic Party carried out a coordinated, nationwide conspiracy to steal the 2020 election, Trump campaign lawyers declared Thursday at a press conference in Washington that they have evidence they will present in court proving the president won.
"We cannot allow these crooks – because that's what they are – to steal an election from the American people," said Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

"They elected Donald Trump. They didn't elect Joe Biden. Joe Biden is in the lead because of the fraudulent ballots, the illegal ballots that were produced and that were allowed to be used after the election was over," the former New York City mayor and federal prosecutor charged.
"Give us an opportunity to prove it in court and we will," he said after presenting details of some of the evidence for more than an hour.

Giuliani was accompanied by Trump senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis and campaign lawyer Sidney Powell, who claimed the team has evidence that as many as 7 million votes were flipped or awarded to Biden through a code in electronic voting machines.
"This is heartbreaking, infuriating and the most unpatriotic acts I can even imagine for people in this country to have participated in in any way, shape or form," Powell said.

"And I want the American public to know right now that we will not be intimidated," she continued. "American patriots are fed up with the corruption from the local level to highest level of our government, and we are going to take this country back.
"We are going to clean this mess up now," she said.
"President Trump won by a landslide," Powell asserted, "and we are going to prove it, and we are going to reclaim the United States of America for the people who vote for freedom."
Ellis said the evidence presented in the 90-minute press conference amounts to the legal team's "opening argument."
'It's enough to overturn'

Giuliani said that in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona "we more than double the number of votes needed to overturn the election, in terms of provable illegal ballots."
"All you've gotta do to find out if I'm misleading you at all is to look at the lawsuits," he told media. "Look at what's alleged, look at the affidavits."
Giuliani said there are more than 1,000 affidavits signed under penalty of perjury, and the legal team is receiving more every day.
He said there are "other aspects of this fraud that at this point I can't reveal, but this is really enough."

"It's enough to overturn any election. It's disgraceful what happened," he said.
Adressing the argument that many of the legal cases have been dismissed, Giuliani said most were filed by individuals who lacked standing, not the Trump campaign.
'A common scheme'
Giuliani said it's inconceivable that Democratic officials in the key battleground states independently, at the exact same time, came up with "the idea of putting Republican inspectors in pens" and said "we're not going to let them look at mail-in or absentee ballots."

"Isn't the logical conclusion, as I think any jury would expect if they heard this evidence, that somebody had this plan ... to do this very questionable form of voting that has been criticized by Jimmy Carter, by Secretary (James) Baker, by most experts on election reform," he said.
"I think the logical conclusion is this is a common plan, a common scheme," he said. "It comes right directly from the Democratic Party, and it comes from the candidate, clearly."
He said that's the reason why Hillary Clinton said, "Don't concede, even if you're losing."
"That's the reason we had a Freudian slip by the candidate, when he said he had the best voter fraud team in the country," Giuliani said.

"That's the reason why [Biden] probably didn't have to go out and campaign. He had to have known what they were going to do. This had to be planned in advance," the former mayor said.
"This is a disgraceful thing that was done to this country."
Later, when a reporter asked him to clarify, Giuliani said he didn't know the extent of Biden's ties to the fraud.
"I don't know how much he decides and how much is decided for him," he said.

Giuliani, speaking directly to media, said, "You keep reporting falsely that you have no evidence."
"You don't have a right to lie about it," he said.
Giuliani noted Trump team lawyers have been threatened, "and the censorship you are imposing makes it worse."

History of corruption
Giuliani said the evidence the team has collected points to a pattern of fraud.
"This pattern repeats itself in a number of states, almost exactly the pattern, which to any experienced investigator would suggest there is a plan to execute these acts of voter fraud," he said, specifically in big cities controlled by Democrats with a long history of corruption.

Giuliani said "the number of voter fraud cases in Philadelphia could fill a library."
He said he would be surprised only if Philadelphia Democrats had not cheated in this election.
In Pennsylvania, where the difference between Trump and Biden is 69,140 votes, there are more than 600,000 mail ballots that were not inspected, according to affidavits, Giuliani said.
"They make significant mistakes, like all crooks do, and we caught them."

Voters in Pittsburgh and in Philadelphia were allowed to fix mistakes to their ballots while voters in Trump-majority jurisdictions were not, he said.
Giuliani said Pennsylvania's Democratic secretary of state "made that up in order to maximize the votes in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and to minimize the vote in other parts of the state."
"Clearly illegal, clearly voter fraud, easily provable, hundreds of witnesses, maybe thousands," he said.
Sixty people swore under the penalty of perjury that they were not allowed to carry out their role as ballot inspectors, he said.

Giuliani charged that the purpose was to process ballots that would "help Biden catch up," and they "couldn't have a Republican inspector around."
In Michigan, Giuliani said, an election worker named Jessy Jacob signed an affidavit claiming she and her colleagues were instructed by their supervisor to adjust the dates on absentee ballots that arrived late and not to ask voters for identification.
She also said she witnessed watching election workers coach voters on their votes and observed people voting twice, with an absentee ballot and in person.
Giuliani, speaking to media, said "the next time you say there's no evidence, you'll be lying, because there is evidence."

"You should have had the time and energy to go look for them. It's your job to read these things and not falsely report that there is no evidence."
He said he has 100 more affidavits like the one Jacobs submitted.
"I can't show them to you because those people don't want to be harrassed," he said. "They don't want to have their lives torn apart by the goons on the other side."
Republicans don't do that, he said, but Democrats have "done that to a lot of our people and they've done that for four years.

"It's outrageous that it's tolerated, and it's tolerated because you condone it, in the press," he said. "You don't cover it and you don't condemn it."
'Massive fraud'
Giuliani said that in Detroit, at 4:30 a.m., a truck showed up at the counting center with thousands of ballots in garbage cans, paper bags and cardboard boxes.
"At that time they thought all the Republican inspectors had left," he said, but there were two that remained.

The two Republicans and an employee of Dominion Voting Systems have sworn under oath that every ballot they could see were for Joe Biden, with many having no votes for other candidates.
There were from 60,000 to 100,000 ballots, he said, and many were triple counted.
In Wisconsin, Giuliani said, with a 20,000-vote difference between the candidates, Republicans were shut out from examining ballots in the Democratic strongholds of Milwaukee and Dane Counties.
He said there were 60,000 absentee ballots in Milwaukee and 40,000 in Dane for which there was no application, which violate state law.

If there is no application, the ballot must be thrown away, he said, pointing out it happened only in places where the vote was 75% for Democrats.
"If you count the lawful votes, Trump won Wisconsin by a good margin," he said. "Indeed, if you count the lawful votes in Pennsylvania, he won it by about 300,000 votes."
There were numerous backdated ballots and numerous "overvotes," meaning there were more votes recorded than the number of registered votes, which he described as the clearest evidence of fraud.
"What I'm describing to you is massive fraud," he said.

The campaign is about to file a major lawsuit in Georgia on Friday with similar claims, Giuliani said, of Republicans being blocked from inspecting ballots, numerous double voters, out of state voters and evidence of intimidation.
The campaign also is looking at filing a lawsuit in Arizona for which it is still collecting evidence.
And he said there is "significant evidence" of fraud in New Mexico and Virginia.
"I don't know yet if there is enough in Virginia to change the election," he said.
