(WJLA) – A California man wanted on a felony warrant was arrested and officers confiscated his passenger: an alligator.

According to police in Anderson, officers received reports of a man possibly driving under the influence Tuesday morning. When officers responded, they found the vehicle described in the reports parked at the Power Market convenience store.

Officers found Tyler Watson, 29, of Redding, and determined he had a felony warrant out for his arrest for a probation violation in Lassen County. Officers conducted a DUI evaluation and determined Watson was not under the influence but arrested him on the warrant.
