A student in the University of California-Berkeley’s STEM training program has delivered a judgment on the school’s “social justice” ideology, those beliefs pervading American education systems now that there has to be retaliation today against members of a community whose ancestors may have benefited from racism at the time.
“I don’t need you to feel worry for me,” the student said.
Her comments came at a recent panel discussion at UC-Berkeley.
She was complaining that social justice ideology has been installed in her STEM training, much to her annoyance.
“I’m a minority. I’m Hispanic and I am a woman. I’m not a victim and I don’t need you to feel sorry for me,” she said.
“I’m a math major so I’m a STEM major and in my school they’re starting to bring in social justice into STEM, and I already have talked to the school in my department and I’m, like, ‘Why are you doing this? Why are you bringing in something that has to do with social justice, that has nothing to do with STEM?'”
She continued, “The excuse that they bring to me is because of minorities. For minorities. I’m a minority. I’m Hispanic, and I am a woman, and I’m like I’m not a victim and I don’t need you to feel sorry for me. We don’t need social justice.
“They keep saying, ‘Oh, yes we do because we’re a social justice school. That is what we do. And if you don’t want to be here, you don’t have to be here. You can leave.’ And … my concentration is in teaching and my adviser, listen, told me this. I told her I’m not a bad person, I actually care about the education system.”
She told her adviser she cares about getting minorities into STEM courses and, “I’m not a bad person.”
“You know what she told me? She told me this, ‘Oh, we don’t know that yet.'”
“You know something, we don’t need social justice.”

A Twitchy commentary said, “Democrats just keep getting it wrong. From supporting teachers being WAY too involved in the gender and sex lives of their students (some very young) to promoting social justice in everything and ALL things … they are losing ground as more and more people realize this line of rhetoric is poison. It empowers the soft bigotry of low expectations and allows for minorities to be talked down to and coddled instead of accepting identity is not an excuse not to work hard and/or succeed.
“Success is not a ‘white trait,’ … We love love LOVE this video of a Hispanic college student going OFF about social justice creeping into her STEM degree.”
Online, commenters said, “Preach it!” and “We could use more like her.”
IMPORTANT NOTE: How is it possible that the greatest and freest nation in world history has so rapidly come under the control of serially lying, deranged, power-mad sociopaths – leaders with nothing but contempt for America, for its history, its Constitution, its Judeo-Christian culture and its people? Orwell’s “1984” points directly to the answer: The elites are changing America’s language itself, so that people’s words – and therefore, their very thoughts – inevitably come under the control of the ruling class. It’s a way of bending reality in real time, so that what is illusion appears to be true, while what is real and true appears to be lies, misinformation, “hate speech,” “conspiracy theories” and “extremism.” This extraordinarily powerful but little-understood weapon of war employed 24/7 by the Marxist left is completely explained, exposed and exploded in the August issue of WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower agazine, “NEWSPEAK 2022: How tyrants and lunatics are enslaving Americans by redefining everything.”
