An elementary-school teacher in the small town of Benson, Minnesota, now is relieved of his duties, facing multiple felony charges of criminal sexual conduct that allegedly involved his students.
This case involves Roger Joseph Ebnet, 59, who was caught on video with “three different minor boys seated between his legs…”
But it’s not the first such case to plague the town. Reports reveal that only a few years back, another Benson man, former hockey coach Bradley Christopher Alasker, was arrested on a felony count of soliciting a child through electronic media after a sting operation by an undercover agent posing as an underage girl.
Even earlier, Luke Adam Frank, was handed consecutive prison sentences for failing to register as a sex offender and for having sexual contact with children.
The string of cases prompted the Post Millennial to post a video report from just a few weeks earlier that confirmed “at least 181 K-12 educators” have been charged with child sex crimes in just the first half of 2022.
That report explained those cases stem from schools across America. “Why is it our schools are filled with pedophiles,” the report asks.
The schools “are where their targets are,” the report, from SBNNews, said.

The Post Millennial said the latest case left the town of Benson in shock.
Ebnet was arrested after police saw a video allegedly showing the second grade teacher “in his classroom with three different boys…”
“The video shows Roger Ebnet sit up slightly and placing the boy’s hand under Roger Ebnet’s groin area,” the criminal complaint alleges.
The report continued, “In a similar incident involving a different boy recorded in the complaint, Ebnet was allegedly caught on video placing ‘the boy’s hands behind the child’s bottom and in front of his groin area.’ The accused then allegedly continued ‘to squeeze his thighs and make upward movements with his groin towards the child’s bottom.'”
There was an incident with a third child, too.
“I went to school with Roger Ebnet. So did my son,” an anonymous source told the Post Millennial. “We reside in the community. Mr. Ebnet is well known for being a lot of students’ favorite teacher, he was active in after-school programs including sports, and organized the yearly community celebration called ‘Kid Day.'”
The school, in a statement, said, “The Benson School District is aware of the pending criminal charges regarding Roger Ebnet, an employee of the School District. The School District takes the safety and security of our students very seriously and has been cooperating and will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement in its investigation. Mr. Ebnet is currently on paid administrative leave.”
KSTP said Ebnet made a court appearance on Monday, with bail set at $200,000.
