Trump’s persecution blasted as affront to ‘biblical justice’

One of the top legal minds in America is blasting the fierce persecution of former President Donald Trump as a slap against biblical justice.

“‘Justice, justice you shall pursue,’ the Bible commands (Deuteronomy 16:20); and that, in doing justice, one must not ‘recognize faces,'” writes Democrat Alan Dershowitz, the famed professor emeritus at Harvard Law School.

“Commentators ask why the good book repeats the word justice, since every word is thought to have significance. The most relevant is that there are two kinds of justice: substantive and procedural.

“The former relates to making the punishment fit the crime; the latter requires that correct procedures be employed to determine whether a crime has been committed.

“The late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter once observed that the history of liberty is largely a history of procedural fairness. Our constitution embodies that history by reading ‘the due process of law.'”

Is the news we hear every day actually broadcasting messages from God? The answer is an absolute yes! Find out how!

But Dershowitz notes that in recent days, “many so-called progressives have been willing to ignore procedural safeguards and due process in their campaign to get former President Donald Trump – to misuse the law in an effort to prevent the leading Republican candidate from running against the incumbent candidate for president. In doing so, they are violating the second principle of justice: ‘Do not recognize faces.’ That commandment is the basis for the blindfolded statute of justice.”

“Some progressives who would ignore procedural safeguards to get Trump acknowledge that this is because they regard him as especially dangerous and therefore undeserving of due process. Special injustice for an unjust man!”

He explains that in the American law system, which is based on precedent, there is no such thing as special injustice.

“Injustice, once practiced against an unjust person, will serve as precedent for deploying it against just persons. As H.L. Mencken once observed: ‘The trouble about fighting for human freedom is that you have to spend so much of your life defending sons of b*tches; for oppressive laws are always aimed at them originally, and oppression must be stopped in the beginning if it is to be stopped at all.'”

“So, whatever one thinks of Trump,” Dershowitz says, “everyone who cares about liberty for all must oppose the weaponization of laws and procedures that are aimed at him, lest the weapons be turned on us.”

Among the weapons he believes are being improperly targeted at Trump is the RICO indictment in Georgia, which includes several of his lawyers as co-defendants.

“This ploy has two unfair consequences, if not intentions: to discourage lawyers from defending him; to prevent him from calling his lawyers as defense witnesses; and to open up confidential conversations between Trump and his lawyers. The cases against the lawyers are generally weak, but that does not matter to prosecutors who are out to get Trump and are using his lawyers as means toward that end.”

Dershowitz says another weapon is scheduling.

“They are trying to get convictions in friendly locations before the 2024 elections, and willing to risk reversal on appeal, which would occur only after the election. Accordingly, they are seeking very early trial dates. The prosecutor in Washington, D.C., has asked for Jan. 2, 2024 – less than five months after the indictment. No case of this complexity and significance has even been tried so quickly. No decent defense lawyer would agree to try a case with so little time to prepare. Yet a group of prominent ‘get Trump’ Republican lawyers has filed a brief supporting that unconstitutional rush to injustice.

He concludes by stating: “These and other ‘get Trump’ lawyers should read the Judeo-Christian commands to do procedural as well as substantive justice, and not to recognize faces. If they follow those wise commands, they will stop trying to ‘get Trump’ or potentially any of us. Instead, they will pursue justice without regard to the face, name or party of the person being investigated and prosecuted.”

Some responses to Dershowitz’s column include:

“You are correct. It is not only the flagrant corruption and weaponization of the judicial process by so-called progressives to attack one person, it that there is virtually no attempt in even the simple ‘appearance’ of fair and equitable justice. Progressives feel so secure in their virulent hatred mandate against their political opponent that they break every rule of law to execute their political agenda. As Ronald Reagan once said: ‘If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism.’ Every day I see more and more evidence of this trend. Stalin would be proud.”

“Professor, it’s good to see you cite the Torah, awareness of which is the only hope that would restore morality to the American official populace. American morality would be well served If in humility we make Trump President again. The man has shown uncommon heroic restraint & dignity through the terrible injustices perpetrated upon him by the dishonourable American justice system & its fellow travelers of lesser men baying for his blood. Trump’s foreign policy was the most effective in our history, no wars, America first, made him our greatest President by far, since Lincoln.”

IMPORTANT NOTE TO WND READERS: Today’s ruling elites champion policies every previous generation of Americans would have regarded as outright evil. At the top of that list would be the supremely radioactive issue – illuminated by the hit summer film “Sound of Freedom” – of the widespread trafficking and sexual slavery of children, as well as the shocking prevalence of pedophiles in the United States of America. Indeed, the U.S. is the largest market for child sexual abuse in the world.

According to Tim Ballard, who has led many missions rescuing sex-trafficked children around the world, the Biden administration actually ENABLES AND PROMOTES the trafficking and sexual slavery of children with its horrendous border policies, its push for early sexualization of children, championing children’s “right to consent” on everything including mutilating transgender surgeries, and so on.

“Pedophiles are sitting back right now,” says Ballard, “and going, ‘We’ve been pushing this agenda for decades, and now we don’t have to push any more, because the left is taking care of it for us’ – IN AMERICA!”

Ballard’s concerns are confirmed by Tara Lee Rodas, a Health and Human Services whistleblower who recently testified before Congress that under Joe Biden, “THE U.S. GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME THE MIDDLEMAN IN A LARGE-SCALE, MULTI-BILLION-DOLLAR CHILD TRAFFICKING OPERATION.”

But that’s just the beginning. The whole, secret criminal mega-enterprise of child sex trafficking and the global elites’ affinity for pedophilia is exposed as never before in the August issue of WND’s critically acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine, in a groundbreaking issue titled “THE NEW AMERICAN SLAVE TRADE: How the Biden regime enables and promotes child sex trafficking in the U.S.A.” WHISTLEBLOWER is available in both the popular print esdition and a state-of-the-art digital version, either single issues or discounted annual subscriptions.
