(FOX NEWS) – People across the world send text messages every day — often multiple times a day or even per hour. The simple act of typing on a keyboard (no matter how small that keyboard may be) and hitting “send” is now second nature in the 21st century.
But once upon a time, it was a novel idea.
And on this day in history, Dec. 3, 1992, the first SMS (short message service) text message was sent from a computer in the United Kingdom.
