A new video has been released by Republicans in the House Judiciary Committee explaining how Joe Biden’s border crisis was “deliberate.”
And how it can be solved.
The video features Rep. Wesley Hunt, R=-Texas, “explaining how President Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas deliberately caused a border crisis, weakened America’s national security, and ignored community harm.”
In fact, Biden’s orders to rescind President Donald Trump’s border security strategies signaled to immigrants around the globe that America’s southern border was open and benefits were available to anyone who broke the law and entered.
Millions have responded to what essentially was Biden’s invitation, and now even “sanctuary” cities are complaining about the massive financial burden of caring for those millions.
Hunt explains we know the move was deliberate because Biden canceled procedures under which “we weren’t talking about more than seven million illegal aliwn encounters at the southern border.”
“We weren’t talking about enough fentanyl smuggled in to kill every single American. We weren’t talking about illegal aliens boarding flights to all over the U.S. without valid ID.”
He said, “From the outset, President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas issued executive actions that weakened our national security. They terminated remain in Mexico, they stopped construction of the border wall.”
Of course, the House already has impeached Mayorkas but the Democrat-run Senate is unlikely to take action against one of their own, no matter how serious the offenses.
Hunt continued, “The sad part is Biden and Mayorkas pretend like their hands are tied. They act like it’s an unfortunate circumstance that they’re ‘working hard to fix.'”
But they’re not, as he noted when Texas began securing its own border to protect citizens against drugs and violence, the White House claimed Gov. Greg Abbott was “in the way.”
Hunt then promoted the House GOP’s already-approved Secure the Border Act, and urged the Senate to take it up soon.
“We know it will work because it expands our successful policies of the Trump administration. [It] ends catch and release, reinstates remain in Mexico restarts construction of the border wall and reduces the incentive for illegal immigration.”
“The president says Congress needs to act,” Hunt said. “We have.”
